When a 21st-century American woman returning to her hotel room after a destination wedding discovers a Revolutionary War soldier in her hotel bathtub, she finds herself drawn into a conspiracy that involves trans-dimensional slave catchers, a founding father with a capital city named after him, and several centuries of trouble. A play about myths of American liberty.
SPLAT GOES YOUR DAY
Written by Sarah Einspanier
Directed by Lauren Z. Adleman
In a world where you watch a painfully heartfelt documentary and then think, I sort of want ice cream... A young woman seeks comfort in the online purchase of artisanal wall hooks but receives something else instead; Another hears an unfamiliar noise and suddenly feels all of human suffering; And a house dog must decide whether to stay home in his parkside palace or run away with the cat. A play with music in three parts, Splat Goes Your Day searches for feeling in the 21st century, or at least whatever's left of it.
